We’re going to keep the Olympic fever going after the Paris games end by welcoming Olympic Silver Medalist Manteo Mitchell to our waterpark on Wednesday, August 14. Manteo will be available for autographs and meet/greets from 4- 6 pm at the guest services tent.
Manteo, who was born in Shelby North Carolina, ran the 4 x 400 meters relay in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
He’s also a member of the US Bobsled team, where he’s aiming to make history by becoming just the 8th person to medal in both the Summer and Winter Games. He’d also become the very first African-American male to accomplish the feat!
When he’s not chasing records, you can find him running around the world with his family and ad advocating for health and wellness. We hope you will stop by to meet him!
