So, what does your title mean you do at Soaky?
I oversee Admissions, which includes online sales, parking, the ticket booth, season pass sales and processing, the gate, the Guest Services tent, and cabana sales.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is seeing the happy, smiling faces of our guests of all ages – not only as they enter the park, but as they’re leaving for the day. When guests leave with a big smile that means we have succeeded in providing them with a great experience!
Favorite attraction at Soaky?
It’s so hard to pick a favorite attraction! Everything in the park is fun! If I had to choose, it’s a three way tie between Avalaunch, The Edge, and Black Bear Rapids.
Favorite food at Soaky?
Another hard question! I’m going to have to go with the funnel cakes from Shake Shoppe. They’re delicious! The one with the deep fried Oreos is amazing!
Piece of advice for first time guests?
For guests who have never been to the park before, I suggest stopping by the Guest Services tent. We have a dedicated team member who can answer any questions you may have. It’s especially helpful for people visiting with kids because we have a sign with a measuring tool that shows what attractions the kids can enjoy based on their height. It’s a huge help for those with younger ones!
Another important piece of advice is to make sure you wear (and reapply often) your sunscreen and drink plenty of water!
